The opportunities that exist for regional startups – Ockham’s Razor podcast live event
On Wednesday 19th July, 2021, Dr. Elena Kelareva was invited to speak live for ABC National Radio’s podcast, Ockham’s Razor.
The event was hosted by the ABC’s own, Natasha Mitchell, and seven other inspiring individuals spoke throughout the night.
Elena, Startup Gippsland’s founder, discussed new opportunities that exist for startups in regional Australia, and how the program was working toward making entrepreneurship accessible to all.
“It actually is possible to build a global company, even if you are based in a small country town. Covid-19 showed us last year that it’s possible to run a business remotely. If you’re selling a product or service globally, and most of your meetings are run via Zoom, it shouldn’t make a difference whether you’re based in Melbourne, Sydney, or a regional area.”
Ockham’s Razor is a soap box for all things scientific, with short talks about research, industry and policy from people with something thoughtful to say.
