Startup Gippsland: Let's get to it! How did you learn about Startup Gippsland and what was your first thought about it?
Michele: Through a friend who had been told about it!
Startup Gippsland: Why did you want to join the program? What was the problem you were trying to solve?
Michele: I wanted to learn more about scaling a business, creating a great network of positive Gippsland people and being part of creating an exciting regional movement. I have always thought Gippsland has a huge potential and lots of talented people.
Michele: The best part of the program is that I've met these fantastic people. Just to be mixing with people who've got that bigger view and that bigger intention, that’s what I didn't have before.
Startup Gippsland: What are the biggest benefits of you undertaking the program? Can you provide an example of how it worked for you?
Michele: I have broadened my horizons and vision of what could be. There is a big difference between running a local small business and a start up. Everything is from a bigger perspective and even though things are only at the beginning you have to hold the big picture in your view and believe that you can do it.
Michele: Yes and no. My startup is still about helping people improve their lives and give them the momentum and guidance to design a a compelling and fulfilling future, however after researching and going through the SUG process, I have changed the name of my business to suit the higher aspirations and I have now found the he starting point in my international quest. Michele: My biggest success is to have found a wonderful network of clever, talented inspirational people to help me along my path to success right here in Gippsland which means I do not have to travel into Melbourne, for world class advice, workshops etc...
Michele: My number one skill I have learnt is to recover quickly from failure, learn the lessons and continue to grow and expand your thinking.
